Taska

Notifications: the panel and notification types

Updated:

Taska collects notifications in a panel on the right: mentions, replies, assignments, status changes, deadlines and invitations. Open it with the “Notifications” button in the sidebar.

How to open notifications

  1. In the sidebar, click “Notifications”. The number next to it shows how many notifications you haven't read yet.
  2. Click a row to go to the event: the task, the message in its chat or the article.
The open notifications panel: the Notifications button in the sidebar is numbered 1 and the first unread row is numbered 2

Unread rows have a tinted background and a dot on the right. A row is marked as read once you see it in the open panel or click it. If Taska is open in several browser tabs, it's marked as read in all of them.

A notification about a TaskAI routine opens the TaskAI chat. Rows about invitations and billing don't lead anywhere. You accept an invitation with the “Accept” button in the pop-up message at the bottom of the screen or with the link in the invitation email, see “How to accept an invitation to a team”.

How to tidy up the feed

  1. “All” and “Unread”. Switch which notifications are shown. The number in parentheses is the unread count.
  2. Double check mark, “Mark all as read”.
  3. Trash can, “Clear all notifications”.
The notifications panel header: the All and Unread switch is numbered 1, the double check mark 2 and the trash can 3

To delete one notification, point to its row and click the cross on the right. The gear in the panel header opens notification settings in your profile. Older notifications load as you scroll down the feed.
