Projects page: order and menu
In Taska, the space page lists all the space's projects. You can change the order of the cards by dragging them, and you open a project's actions with “⋮” on its card or with a right-click.
How to open the projects page
In the sidebar, click the name of the space. Your personal space is labeled “My projects”, and a team space shows the team's name. A page with all the projects of this space opens.
What's on the page
- The space name and the counter of the plan's used sections, such as “7 / 500”. Point to the counter to see what it counts.
- The “⋮” button with the space menu.
- The “Create a project” button. How to create a project is explained in “How to create a project”.
- The project cards. The icon on the left shows the kind of project: a board, a knowledge base, a roadmap or an extended project with a diagram icon. Click a card to open the project.
- The star and “⋮” on a card. The star adds the project to “Favorites”, and “⋮” opens the project menu.
If you have access to TaskAI, the header also has a button with ready-made questions about the space. In a team space, it also shows the avatars of teammates who are online right now.
How to change the order of projects
- Point to a project card.
- Press and hold the mouse button and drag the card up or down.
- Release the mouse button.
The order is personal. Your teammates keep their own order, and your changes don't affect them. The sidebar shows the same order of projects under the space name, so you can rearrange them there too. Archived projects can't be dragged.
Project menu
Click “⋮” on a project card. The menu items depend on the kind of project and on your role.
- “Access”. Who works in the project and how to invite people. Extended projects, knowledge base projects and roadmap projects have it. For a board project, you set up access in the board's own menu.
- “Contact TaskAI” and “Project health”. Questions to the assistant about the project, if you have access to TaskAI.
- “Move into a project”. Moves a simple project into an extended project in the same space. The original project is deleted.
- “Duplicate the project”. Creates a copy with the same sections and columns, but without tasks and articles.
- “Save as template”. Saves the project's structure to the “Template library”.
- “Archive”. Moves the project to the archive. See “Archiving projects and sections”.
- “Edit”. This is where you change the project's name.
- “Delete”. The project goes to the space trash, and you can restore it within 30 days.
A right-click on a card opens the same menu. It also has “Open in a new tab”, “Copy link” and “Add to favorites”.
An archived project's menu only has “Restore from the archive” and “Delete”. If you were invited to someone else's project, the menu has “Leave the project” instead of the project management items.
Space menu
The “⋮” button in the page header opens the menu for the whole space.
- “Template library”. Ready-made projects and the templates you saved.
- “Time report”. Time logged on tasks across all the space's projects. The report works in a team space on the Business plan.
- “Change history”. Who changed what in the space.
- “Space trash”. Deleted projects, sections and tasks.
- “Space settings”. The owner and admins of a team space have it. Other members see “Personal settings” here: their own name and color for the space, visible only to them.
A guest only has the time report and the personal settings in this menu.
The “Archive” block at the bottom of the page
These are the space's archived projects. The block is collapsed, and their number is shown next to the title. Click “Archive” to expand the list. See “Archiving projects and sections”.
There are no projects on the page
Then the middle of the page shows “No projects yet” and two buttons. “Create a project” opens the new project window, and “From a template” opens the template library.
On your phone
There's no “Create a project” button in the header. Tap “⋮” and choose “Add a project”. The same menu has the space menu items and “Leave the space”. The section counter is in the bottom left corner. To drag a card, hold your finger on it for a moment first.
