How to create a team space
Click “Add a team” in the Taska sidebar, enter a name and click “Create team space”. Your first team gets a 30-day Business trial, and you don't need a card.
How to create a team space
- In the sidebar, click “Add a team”. It's the last line in the list of spaces.
- In the “Team name” field, enter a name, such as “Marketing”. The field is required and holds up to 120 characters.
- If you like, pick a color in the “Color” block. With “No color”, each member sees the team in the color of their own theme.
- Click “Create team space”.
The window closes, and Taska stays on the same screen. The new space appears in the sidebar. Click its name to open the team's projects page. For now it's empty, with the “Create a project” and “From a template” buttons.
You can change the team's name, color and members at any time. On the team page, click “⋮” in the top right corner and choose “Space settings”. To bring in your teammates, see “How to invite teammates by email” and “Invitation links: create, limit and revoke”.
The Business trial
A new team runs on Business right away, with all of its features, such as the time report. During the trial, the team's members and admins also get Pro in their personal space.
To see how many days are left, open the space settings, go to the “Billing” tab and look at the “Business Trial” card. There the owner can click “Extend trial by 14 days” once, or subscribe with “Subscribe to Business”.
When the trial ends, the team moves to the free Free Team plan. It allows up to 5 members including the owner (guests are counted separately) and up to 10 sections, that is, boards, knowledge bases and roadmaps. Nothing is deleted. If there are more members or sections, the extra ones become read-only until the owner chooses who and what stays active, or subscribes to Business.
If you already have a free or trial team
Each owner can have only one free team space. If you already have one, an “Upgrade to Business” window opens instead of the creation window. It says “You already have a Free Team. Upgrade it to Business to create more teams.” The “Subscribe to Business” button takes you to the “Billing” tab of that free team. Once it's on Business, you can create a new team.
A team on a Business trial counts the same way, because it becomes free when the trial ends. In that case, the window says “Your team is on a Business trial: after it ends, the team becomes free, and an owner can have only one free team. Pay for Business to create more teams.” Once you pay for Business for that team, the limit no longer applies.
This limit applies only to teams you own. If you're an admin or a member of someone else's free team, you can still create your own team.
If you've already had a trial
Your second and later teams start on Free Team right away, without a Business trial. All Business features unlock once you pay for a subscription on the “Billing” tab in the space settings.
If the team wasn't created
If the name field is empty, it's highlighted with “Required field”. If Taska shows “Failed to create space”, check your connection and click “Create team space” again.
On your phone
Tap “≡”. “Add a team” is at the end of the list of spaces. The creation window fills the whole screen, and the buttons at the bottom show only icons: the cross closes the window, and the plus creates the space.
