First launch: the setup wizard

After your first sign-in, Taska opens the setup wizard. In three steps you choose a language, enter your name and set up how Taska looks.

Step 1. Language

  1. In the “Choose your language” block, click a language: English, Deutsch or Русский. The interface switches to it right away.
  2. Click “Next”.

Step 2. First and last name

  1. Enter your first name in the “First name” field and your last name in the “Last name” field. Both fields are required: while one of them is empty, you can't click “Next”.
  2. Click “Next”.

Your teammates will see your name in any team you're invited to.

Step 3. Appearance

  1. In the “Color mode” block, choose “Light” or “Dark”.
  2. In the “Color theme” block, click a color square. Hover over a square to see the color's name.
  3. Click “Finish”.

Taska opens the “Today” screen. It's empty for now. To see where to start, read “Where to start: your first steps after signing up”.

You can go back a step with the “Back” button. Your first and last name are saved only when you click “Finish”.

If the wizard keeps coming back

You can't skip the wizard. Until your profile has a first and last name, Taska shows it on every page. If you closed the tab halfway through, the wizard appears the next time you sign in. Go through it to the end and click “Finish”.

If there was no wizard

You don't see the wizard if you signed up with Yandex ID and your Yandex ID has a first and last name. Taska takes them from Yandex ID and sets the light color mode with the emerald color theme. You can change this in your profile.

If a color has a lock

On the free plan, 5 of the 22 colors are available: emerald, amber, red, blue and gray. The others have a lock and the tooltip “Available on Pro and Business”. For the first 14 days after signing up you have a Pro trial, so all colors are open. When the trial ends, a locked color switches back to emerald.

How to change these settings later

Everything you chose in the wizard can be changed in the “User profile” window. Open it with the button with your name at the bottom of the sidebar.

The language applies to your whole account. Taska remembers the color mode and color theme separately for each device, so your phone and computer can look different.
