# Personal and team plans: what applies where

In Taska, a plan applies to a space. Your personal plan, Free or Pro, works in your personal space, and a team's plan, Free Team or Business, works in that team's space.

## Personal plan: Free and Pro

Your personal plan belongs to you. It applies in your personal space, which is labeled “My projects” in the sidebar, including all its projects and sections. You pay for Pro yourself, as described in “[How to subscribe to Pro](https://taska.be/en/help/671-how-to-subscribe-to-pro)”.

Your personal plan also affects your account, for example how many interface colors are unlocked. Guests you invite to projects in your personal space count against its limits too: up to 2 guests per project on Free and up to 25 on Pro.

## Team plan: Free Team and Business

Each team space has its own plan. It applies to everyone who works in that space and doesn't carry over to other teams. Only the space owner can subscribe to Business. An admin can also pay an issued invoice.

## How to check your personal plan

Look at the button with your name at the bottom of the sidebar. Your plan is shown on the right of it: Free, “Pro Trial” with the number of days left, or Pro. Click the plan to open the “User profile” window on the “Billing” tab.

## How to check a team's plan

1. In the sidebar, point to the team space name.
2. Click the “Space settings” gear.
3. Open the “Billing” tab. The space's plan is shown next to the “Billing & Subscription” heading.

Only the owner and admins see the “Billing” tab. Members and guests don't see it, so ask the team owner about the team's plan.

Owners and admins can see everything in one place. In the “User profile” window, on the “Billing” tab, the “All your subscriptions” section lists your personal subscription and the teams where you are the owner or an admin.

## What this means in practice

- Your Pro doesn't apply in team spaces. Only the team's own Business unlocks paid features there.
- One team's Business doesn't apply in other teams, even if the same people work there.
- Board process, status automations, blockers, related tasks, the board dashboard and time tracking exist only in team spaces. Your personal space doesn't have them on any plan, and Taska suggests creating a team space instead.

## Pro from your team

Everyone who takes a seat in a team on Business or on its trial gets Pro in their personal space and pays nothing for it. Seats are taken by the owner, admins and members, including people invited only to specific projects or sections. Guests don't take a seat and don't get Pro. In this case the “Billing” tab of the “User profile” window says “Pro is provided by your team”.

- If you had your own paid Pro, it's paused for this time, and the “Billing” tab shows “Your Pro subscription is paused”. The remaining days are kept and start running again when you leave the Business team. The same goes for a Pro trial.
- When you no longer take a seat in any team on Business, Pro from the team stays on for 14 more days. If you already had such 14 days within the last 180 days, it turns off right away.
- If the invoice for your seat isn't paid on time, Pro from the team turns off and comes back once the invoice is paid.

## Example

Amy works in the “Aurora” team on Business and also has personal projects. In Aurora's projects she has everything Business offers, and in her personal space she has Pro from the team. Later, Amy creates her own team for her family. She hasn't had a Business trial as an owner yet, so the family team runs on it for 30 days and then switches to Free Team. Aurora's Business doesn't extend to the family team.
