# How to change the interface language

You can switch Taska to English, German or Russian in the “User profile” window. The language changes right away, without reloading, and is saved in your account for all devices.

## How to change the language

1. At the bottom of the sidebar, click the button with your name. The “User profile” window opens on the “Profile” tab.
2. In the “Language” block, click “English”, “Deutsch” or “Русский”.

The User profile window, Profile tab: the Language block with the English, Deutsch and Русский buttons is numbered 2

The interface switches right away. There's nothing to save.

## What gets translated

- All labels, buttons and messages in Taska.
- Notifications in the panel, including older ones. Taska builds their text again in the new language.
- The “Help” link in the “User profile” window. It opens the help center in the chosen language if the help center is available in it.
- Push notifications on your phone and Telegram bot messages. They arrive in the language of your account.

Names that you and your colleagues enter stay as they are. These are projects, boards, columns, tasks and articles. Taska names the columns of a new board in the interface language of the person who creates the board. It names the knowledge base and roadmap of a new extended project in the language of the person who creates the project. After that, these names don't change either. When someone copies a project or board, Taska adds “(копия)”, “(copy)” or “(Kopie)” to the name, in the interface language of the person who makes the copy.

## Which language emails use

The email that confirms your address and the password reset email come in the language of the page where you requested them. An email invitation to a team arrives in the recipient's language. If they have an account, that's their profile language. If not, it's the language the inviter chose in the “Email language” field.

## Which language a new account gets

A new account gets the language you chose on taska.be. If you didn't choose one there, Taska uses your browser language. If Taska doesn't support any of your browser languages, the interface is in Russian.

You can change the language in the first step of the setup wizard. See “[First launch: the setup wizard](https://taska.be/en/help/465-first-launch-the-setup-wizard)”.

Why the sign-in form is in a different language

Before you sign in, Taska doesn't know who you are, so it shows the form in this browser's language. After you sign in, the interface switches to your account language.
