# Who Taska is for, and who should pick something else

It's better to learn about the limits before moving than a month after. Here is where Taska is strong, what it is not and what it doesn't have yet.

## In short

### Taska is a good fit if

- you pay separately for a tracker, a wiki, Gantt, forms and a time tracker and want one product;
- tasks pass between departments and get lost at the handoffs;
- the knowledge base should live next to tasks, not in a neighboring service;
- clients and colleagues send requests that someone copies into the tracker by hand;
- servers in Russia and payment in RUB without workarounds matter to you;
- you want to start for free and grow without switching systems.

### Better pick something else if

- you need development built around Git: sprints with commits and branches in tasks. Taska has no Git integration yet;
- you need a CRM with deals and a sales pipeline: Taska is not a CRM;
- you need installation on your own servers right now;
- an entry in the Russian software registry is mandatory for your procurement;
- the team works mostly on iPhone and needs a native app.

## What Taska is not

- **Not a CRM.** Deals, pipelines and mailings are a CRM's job. Taska can be connected to one through the public API.
- **Not a drawing board.** Process diagrams in Taska are real boards and status links, not a free canvas like Miro.
- **Not a messenger.** Discussion happens in task chats and on highlighted passages of pages, but Taska does not replace a corporate chat.
- **Not a document management system.** Guidelines and approvals in Taska are live and practical, but without legally binding signatures.

## What's not available yet

The list changes: what we build first depends on customer requests.

- import from Trello, Jira, Kaiten and other trackers (data is moved through the API or with an AI assistant);
- one-click export of a whole space;
- two-factor sign-in;
- an iPhone app;
- Git integration, outgoing webhooks and a ready-made 1C integration;
- installation on your own servers.

## Why we write about this

Taska wins where a team needs one product instead of a stack: processes across departments, a knowledge base next to tasks, outside requests straight to the board. If what matters most to you is something we don't have yet, it's better to know right away. And if what matters is what we do have, [start for free](https://taska.be/app/auth/signup) and try it on one project.
