# Taska for AI assistants and agents

Connect Taska to your AI assistant, and it will work with your tasks, boards and knowledge base: find, create, move deadlines, draft pages. All within your permissions.

Updated Oct. 22, 2026

## MCP connector

MCP is an open protocol that AI assistants use to connect to external services. The address of the Taska connector:

1. Add the connector in your assistant's settings: in Claude and ChatGPT it is the connectors section, in Cursor and Claude Code the MCP server settings.
2. The assistant opens a Taska page: sign in, choose the space and the access level, "Read only" or "Read and write", and click "Allow".
3. Ask the assistant for something real: "show my tasks for the week", "create tasks from this email", "move the team's deadlines to Monday".

- **One connection, one space.** To let the assistant work with another space, connect Taska again.
- **Your Taska password is never passed to the assistant:** you sign in on the Taska page, and the assistant only gets an access token.
- **A team guest cannot connect the team's space**, just as they cannot issue an API key for it.
- **Disconnect an assistant** at any time: profile, "API" tab, "Connected AI assistants", "Disconnect".

Claude Code, Cursor and your own scripts can also sign in with an API key, without a browser: the header `Authorization: Bearer taska_…` with a key from the same profile section.

## What the agent can do

### Tasks

Find, create, update, close, move between columns, set tags, fields, blockers and links.

### Boards and projects

View the structure of the space, create a project, a board and statuses.

### Knowledge base

Find a page, create a page from blocks, make precise text edits.

## Access and security

- The agent sees and changes only what is available to the user who connected it.
- In read-only mode, actions that change data are not available at all.
- The agent's actions go to the space's activity log, and deleted items can be restored from the trash.
- For your own scripts and servers there are API keys: one per space, with resource permissions and an IP allowlist.

## Files for agents

| File | What's inside |
|---|---|
| [llms.txt](https://taska.be/llms.txt) | a site map for language models |
| [llms-full.txt](https://taska.be/llms-full.txt) | site page texts and pricing in one file |
| [pricing.md](https://taska.be/pricing.md) | plans, prices and limits in Markdown |
| [API documentation](https://taska.be/api/docs) | GraphQL API: operations, keys, examples |
| [GraphQL schema](https://taska.be/api/v1/schema.graphql) | the full public API schema |

Every page of the site has a Markdown version: add `.md` to the address, for example [index.md](https://taska.be/index.md).

## Frequently asked questions

Which assistants are supported?

Any that can connect remote MCP servers: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code and others.

How much does it cost?

Connecting is included in your Taska plan, there is no separate charge for MCP. The assistant uses its own service's resources under its own terms.

Can an agent sign up by itself?

A person signs up: this makes it clear who is responsible for the space. After that, the agent works with the access it was given.
